BE WELL & THRIVE A NJ NON PROFIT  ORGANIZATION

ADVOCATING FOR SUSTAINABLE HEALTHY LIVING

On September 26, 2023 the NIH designated people with disabilities as a population with health disparities.

Older adults and individuals with disabilities can improve their independence and health outcomes with effective health promotion.

OUR MISSION is to provide  people with disabilities, functional limitations, and older adults with access to programs and resources that promote optimal health outcomes.

OUR STORY

In 2013 Be Well! & Thrive was created as the groundbreaking health and wellness program of Easterseals New Jersey, impacting clients and staff across all 21 counties in New Jersey. It was the first I.C.E. (Institute for Credentialing Excellence) accredited health and wellness program in the U.S. for individuals with disabilities and special needs.

Easterseals affiliates in the U.S. participated in onsite train the trainer programs, and teleconferences to learn about Be Well! and Thrive as a model to create a culture of health and wellness in their agencies.

Ten years later, in 2023, Be Well! & Thrive became a non profit corporation that promotes and fosters health equity and quality of life for people with disabilities and functional limitations, the aging, and  those with other special needs.
